This Mantel!!!!  The Chocolates with the touches of Silver was GORGEOUS!

These were Chocolate glass and with the candellight behind them was a Warm Glow....Those are Battery candels...

All I can say is MERCURY, MERCURY, MERCURY.......IN!!!!!!   Its BEAUTIFUL!!!  The 'uneven' almost 'antiqued mirror' look is BEYOND BEAUTIFUL!!!

Mercury!!!   Cant have too much!!!

These Mercury Candel Holders with the Golden/Chocolate candels was STUNNING!!!  Mix your "Metallics"...You dont have to choose JUST Silver or JUST Gold...
Mixer up!!!

I am in LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE with these candels!!!!
And in this Chocolate color....use em year round!

These FLAWLESS Mercury hurricanes are Christmas-alicious!!!  But these too can be used Year round....Gorgeous in the Spring with Fluffy Hydrangeas.....

These Golden Chocolate poinsettias are THE IN color right now....But being an earthtone color...this is NO FAD...they will remain a useable color till they fall apart :)  YAY!

See how they just blend well with the colors around them...They truly are timeless!!!
And that makes the THRIFTY Part of me soooooooo Happy!

I am SERIOUSLY OBSESSED with these candels!!!!

I just became a follower this morning! Love the chocolate truffle tree. The silver, gold and brown look so elegant. About those candles....I am obsessed with the battery powered ones! I am picky about the ones I choose because I find that the colored ones don't shine enough light through. I get bored with the ivory ones though! =o)Does the light shine through these dark glittery ones? Where might we find these pretties? I did see some at Michaels that looked like these.
thank you~

Yep, these are my colors! I always do things when they aren't IN. I did browns years ago. This year I went with black, a deeper red with dark green and browns, mixing my metals in.
The tree in the kitchen is in pinks, reds and yellows.
I have wanted to ask someone this for a long time now. It's about the mercury glass. My parents and grandparents knew people who actually got sick because of this vintage glass when it broke- so it was always taboo when I was a kid. My mom told me that they quit making it because too many had been poisoned by it. I have always steered clear of it antiquing.
The new reproduction stuff isn't really mercury glass is it? There is no danger with the new stuff, right?
I love the looks of it, but I'm afraid.
I figure if anyone would know it would be you.
Thanks- Tete
PS- This is still my favorite tree, too- and I love the brown glass trees!

Wow! Looks great...Mavahlous, darling...Mavahlous! I am loving all the chocolate I am seeing this year. Do you know there was a "chocolate" craze...maybe in the 40's?...and I found chocolate hats with chocolate plumes in MyHero's grandmother's wardrobe...and she had some beautiful big "chocolate velvet" roses. My sister-in-law was on those like a tick on a coon dog.... SOOO glad I found you now instead of after Christmas. I am coming here for my daily fix of pretty! Hugs-Diana
